How to delete your account

You can request full deletion of your Recoverer account and all associated personal data at any time. We process all deletion requests within 30 days as required by UK GDPR.

To delete your account, email delete@recoverer.co.uk from the email address associated with your account, or send an SMS with the word DELETE to the phone number registered on your account.

What gets deleted

Your personal information (name, email, phone number), booking history, saved locations, payment method references, and rating history. All data is permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.

What we retain

We are legally required to retain certain financial records (invoices, VAT records) for 6 years under UK tax law. These records are anonymised so they cannot be linked back to you. GPS route data is automatically deleted 90 days after each job regardless of account status.

Driver accounts

Driver accounts follow the same deletion process. Outstanding earnings will be paid in the next scheduled payout cycle before the account is closed. DBS check records are destroyed upon account deletion. Contact drivers@recoverer.co.uk for driver-specific queries.
